To muffle his cries, they made a mask of cured skin and sewed it to his neck. The next day, Thunderblades stormed the camp, scattering the wildlings. The noble healed but kept the mask. He wore the hood while he trained his body, dedicating his life to vengeance.

After years of intensive preparation, he returned to that camp. What had once been Flayers, were now settlers. Children played where their parents had once cured human flesh. But he hungered for vengeance, and his desire had to be sated.
